The .st domain extension is a country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for the island nation of São Tomé and Príncipe, located in Central Africa.
I recently discovered the .st domain extension after seeing it mentioned on X (Twitter) by Dyandot founder Todd Han. This sparked some interest as I am always keen on finding single word names, especially if the extensions are already in use. I own some interesting names such as Liquor.trade, Conductor.trade and Valley.trade. There have been a series of .trade sales this year already and I quite like the niche relevance of it (I will write more about this in future).
I did some quick research and then went straight to the top 100 domain sales of all time on Namebio, then just ran through the list of the best names. To my surprise there was indeed some great availability. I also managed to grab a few extras.
The price was very reasonable at $14 and renewals at the same price, so this was welcome unlike what you see with some other extensions.

- Inc.st
- Dex.st – very popular term, especially in crypto
- Muhammad.st – one of the most popular names worldwide – no brainer.
- Jim.st – Jim, you can finally have your own name.
- Whisky.st – the .com sold for $3.1m in 2014. (This sale is an incredible story which I will post about soon).
- Porno.st – the .com sold for $8.88m in 2015
- Acorn.st – is the most photographed street in the USA

- Penthouse.st – great name for luxury penthouse properties
- Hme.st – premium 3 letter name, great for social sharing or a memorable/brandable website
Some notable uses of the .st extension are:
- play.st (PlayStation’s shortener): Sony’s official URL shortener for gaming news and promotions. Redirects to PlayStation content; active and widely used.
- fir.st (Example hack for “first”): Often cited as a classic; live sites using this include promotional pages or startups emphasizing priority.
- la.st (Hack for “last”): Used by various blogs or e-commerce sites; one live example is a news aggregator.
- broadway.st (Hack for “Broadway Street”): A theater or location-based site; live for event listings.
- washington.st (Hack for “Washington State”): A regional info site; active for local news.
- simplywall.st (Global Rank: ~18,359) Simply Wall St’s stock analysis and investment tool. A live financial website providing market insights (domain hack for “Wall Street”).
- kck.st (Global Rank: ~11,297) Kickstarter’s (.st variant) short link service for crowdfunding campaigns. Live and used for project promotions.
